Because I was thinking about something else in the last entry in which it was discussed, I didn't post pictures of Madrid.

It's good to have relatively modern kings, so you didn't have to get rid of all your statuary in the 70s.

Sadly, I did not get the opportunity to dine at this historically-important institution.

The Reina Sofia is also housed in a building that is a noted beauty. Unfortunately, it was completely obscured by draped scaffolding while I was there. As consolation: the fantastic typography on this dedication plaque at the museum's entrance.
